Sports Uses
For all physical contact sports Football, Rugby, Karate, gas-permeable scleral lenses give good protection, visual stability and dependability on remaining in the eye aiding an athlete's judgement and confidence in decision. In squash and badminton ideally a polycarbonate protective goggle should be worn but many find it restrictive and don't wear them. Gas-Permeable scleral contact lenses provide some but not complete protection from a direct hit of the squash ball or shuttlecock with secondary orbital injuries much reduced in severity.
